COMMERCIAL DIVE EXPERIENCE!
Ever wondered what it's like to be a commercial diver?
Dive in a hot-water suit, use a Kirby Morgan surface supplied helmet or make a 50 metre chamber dive. You can even take a thrilling dive into history in an antique standard suit! All dives are made in a professional environment, supervised by our highly trained instructors.
Take an exciting journey into the past by diving in our antique standard suit - the type of suit originally used by commercial divers of old. This is a real adventure back in time, giving you a fascinating first hand insight into the history of commercial diving and the difficulties divers used to face.
- Dive time approx. 20 mins.
- You'll need - thermals or a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms.
This dive really gives you a feel for what it's like to work as a commercial diver - it's great fun and definitely different! You'll have the chance to dive using industry standard surface-supplied equipment - a Hot Water Suit and Kirby Morgan Superlite Helmet.
- Dive time approx. 25 mins.
- You'll need - swimwear, a towel and a pair of thick socks.
Ever wondered how a saturation diver feels? Find out by taking a surface chamber dive to 50 metres.
You'll experience approximately 50 metres pressure in our on-site dive chamber, have a chance to breathe on our chamber's O2 bibs and see how well you cope in a pressured environment by taking a short written exam.
- Dive time approx. 50 mins.
- This can be logged as a dive in your log book.
- You'll need - a jumper, (no clothing with large nylon content).
No previous dive qualifications needed for any of the above experiences. Please book at least one week in advance. Minimum group sizes apply, contact us for details. You will need to sign a medical waiver form & liability waiver.
