SEA TRIALS AT THE UNDERWATER CENTRE

The Underwater Centre was founded by the British Government in 1972 as a commercial diver training and underwater trials facility.

Located on the shores of Loch Linnhe - one of the deepest Scottish Lochs - The Underwater Centre site was selected as being ideal for sea trials and commercial diver training. Our large private pier gives unrestricted sea access, with water depths of 50m nearby and of 150m within half a mile. Unlike most other seawater sites our sheltered waters allow operations to continue all year round in almost all weather. Nearby the Corran Narrows and Loch Eil Narrows offer a variety of tidal conditions.

As a working site we have a number of vessels available. We can also provide Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and a submersible. And with effective relationships with suppliers all over the UK if we do not have equipment on site we can hire in at short notice. Added to this we have highly skilled personnel from divers to ROV operators and engineers.
