THE SITE

A sheltered sea loch dive site allowing testing in almost all weather conditions, Loch Linnhe is one of the deepest Scottish lochs with graduated depths up to 150m within an easy distance of our private pier.

The seabed surface is composed of sand and gravel on top of rock. The dive site around the pier contains a variety of underwater structures in a range of depths. Structures include a collection of ex-army vehicles at depths ranging from 6m - 20m, an oil platform leg and a variety of wrecks in depths of 10m - 55m. The deepest of these wrecks, the Snoopy at 55m, is an old barge with many open compartments.

We have moorings in water depths of 5m – 100m and further moorings can be laid if necessary.

Our secure private pier gives excellent sea access, with a large surface area and a number of buildings available for work and storage. It is fitted with its own electricity supply, a pontoon allows good sea-level access and two dive stations provide divers shallow water access. Facilities include available work buildings, shower and drying rooms and a decompression chamber.

Our indoor facility houses a 1.5 million litre tank filled with seawater, while the rest of the building offers excellent work spaces with easy access to the tank and changing rooms should you need to enter the tank for diving purposes.

Ocean Frontier

The tank has flat cement base covered by approximately 5 inches of sand. The tank has large acrylic viewing panels which provide excellent observation points for trials. The main window is a large 5m x 3m panel that provides an almost cinema-like view into the tank. This could easily be used in conjunction with demonstration of equipment to sponsors and potential customers.
