IMCA Diver Medic

Diving regulations require a medic to be on-site in certain circumstances during diving operations, and The Underwater Centre offers one of the best Diver Medic courses available anywhere in the world.
The training includes lectures by eminent medical practitioners from the Woolfson Hyperbaric Unit in Dundee as well as instruction from The Centre’s qualified diving medical instructor and a hospital placement. Practical sessions play a vital part in the training, ensuring our medic graduates are equipped to deal with any emergency presented to them.
The diving element of this course will be run at Fort William and the clinical part on placement at the busy Monklands Hospital in Glasgow, which receives over 17,000 emergency inpatient admissions per year. At Monklands you will be exposed to a wide variety of real life emergency situations, as well as receiving training from experienced consultant surgeons.
