HSE First Aid at Work (with diving endorsement)

Before an HSE certificate can be issued, all students must be in possession of an HSE First Aid at Work certificate. The Underwater Centre can offer this certificate in two ways, you can take it as part of the HSE SCUBA or HSE Surface Supplied commercial air diver courses or alternatively you can take the course on its own.
The course is classroom based and covers the safety aspects of diving before going underwater. It is obviously essential that a professional diver has an understanding of anatomy and physiology, first aid, diving illness, physics and the principles of decompression. The course includes a first aid exam before diving can take place.
The course is run to a very high standard, covering all aspects of the HSE requirements, and is carried out at the Centre by our own trained staff who have many years' experience in diving medicine.
